2 new constant summer albums.

1.)
#1
Making Pet Sounds.
Brian Wilson chilling with a goat.
Don't get me wrong I have always loved The Beach Boys (Me and my students used to listen to them together) but for some reason this album is hitting me hard this summer. Its a beautiful sounding record and the most expensive record ever recorded at the time. It has themes of heartbreak and happiness (two things that seem very present in my life right now.) I just cant explain to anyone how this record has affected me and how much I love it. Just buy it!

"You've got to keep in mind love is here today
And it's gone tomorrow
It's here and gone so fast."
-The Beach Boys: Here Today-

2.)
#2
Funny promo shot.
Fun.

Fireworks has been a band that I have always liked but this new record of theirs is a perfect summer album. The lyrics are very personal but not to the point where no one can relate to them. I can only describe this album with two words: catchy and fun. You know an album has you when you find yourself singing it randomly. This album has been helping me through these changes that I have been going though. If you like great musicianship with heartfelt and meaningful lyrics you should get this album!

"All this pushed aside
I'm scared of losing the past that we built
we built
Like every lock needs a key
Nostalgia's just a pillow between my knees
And I can't decide if that's a good or a bad thing."
-Fireworks: X's On Trees-
